Youthful Flyers look for improvement

The Little Falls girls' hockey team will send a young lineup onto the ice with 15 underclassmen and no seniors as the Flyers try to improve on last year's 1-16-1 record and last-place finish in the Central Lakes Conference.

The Long Prairie-Grey Eagle/Wadena-Deer Creek girls' hockey team returns a mix of leadership and underclassmen as the Blue Devils have five seniors and 10 underclassmen on this year's squad.

The Blue Devils will be led by senior defensman Alissa Johnson and Jamie Kern and forwards Amanda McManigle, Bailee Beiswenger and Amelia Doth. LP-GE/W-DC will have youth between the posts as sophomore goalie Kayla Guck will see extensive action.
