KALISPELL, Mont. - Roy L. Kramer, age 90, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2005, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell, Mont. Roy was born on Aug. 8, 1915, in Clements, Minn., to Sebastian and Margaret Mary Kramer. He moved to Fort Ripley, Minn., in 1916. He attended schools in Fort Ripley, Belle Prairie Catholic Academy, Little Falls High School as a freshman and sophomore, then living with his Aunt Annie and Uncle Joe Como during his junior year. He graduated from Brainerd High School in 1935. Roy attended the University of Minnesota from 1939 until 1941. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Forces in 1942, serving for four years. He attended Mets Meteorology School for one year at Lamoor, Calif. Roy married Norma Jordan on Jan. 20, 1945, in Brainerd, Minn. He went to work as a meteorologist in April of 1947 at the St. Cloud Weather Bureau. Roy retired in January of 1974. Roy is survived by his children, Dennis Kramer, and his wife, Joyce, of Billings, Mont., daughter, Sandi Waverek, and husband, Tom, of Kalispell, Mont., son, Rick Kramer, and wife, Jean, of Kalispell, Mont., son, Keith Kramer, and wife, Rita, of St. Cloud, Minn., daughter, Cheryl Hoheisel, and husband, Mark, of Orlando, Fla., son, Kevin Kramer, and his wife, Donna, of Kalispell, Mont.; one brother, Lewis Kramer, of Faribault, Minn.; and one sister, Betty Caughey, of Brainerd, Minn.; 16 grandchildren, Jessica Hansen, Colorado Springs, Colo., Patrick Kramer, West Yellowstone, Mont., Kristin Kramer, Missoula, Mont., Jennifer Waverek, New York, Jody Waverek, Kalispell, Mont., Jordan Waverek, Kalispell, Mont., Cody Kramer, Kalispell, Mont., Cayla Kramer, Missoula, Mont., Tony Kramer, St. Cloud, Minn., Brian Hoheisel, Orlando, Fla., Adam Hoheisel, Orlando, Fla., Rocky Kramer, Kalispell, Mont. Tommie Kramer, Renton, Wash., Breanna Chavez, Kalispell, Mont., Jason Cooping, Kalispell, Mont., Laci Foeckel, Garberville, Calif.; and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, 2005, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. A wake service will be at 7 p.m. with Deacon Fred Tono officiating. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005, at St. Matthew's Catholic Church with the Rev. Rudy Bullman officiating. Burial will follow at Glacier Memorial Gardens. Graveside military honors will be done by the United Veterans of the Flathead Valley. The family requests memorials in Roy's name be given to the donor's favorite charity.
