Boys and girls not in the Brainerd Amateur Hockey Association program are invited to play pond hockey.
Coaches will teach basic skills and techniques. Participants will practice and play outdoors one night a week and Saturday mornings at Baxter or Nisswa rinks. The season will begin when outdoor ice is ready, usually near the end of December.
The goal of pond hockey is to give kids an opportunity to learn, enjoy the game and someday enroll in BAHA.
Ice pups, ages 7-10, must be 7 by Dec. 31. Fee is $40.
Ice dogs, ages 11-15, must be 11 by Dec. 31. Fee is $40.
Registration deadline is Dec. 6.
First meeting for Baxter players is 6 p.m. Dec. 17 at Loren Thompson Park. Participants may call 855-5086 with questions.
First meeting for Nisswa players is the same time and date at Nisswa Park. Call 963-0047 with questions.
