Three manufacturers honored in Cass County

The Cass County Economic Development Corp. honored three manufacturing businesses during Minnesota Manufacturing Week in October for their commitment to creating quality jobs in Cass County.

CavCom Inc. of Walker was presented with a commemorative certificate from the governor on Oct. 23. CavCom, owned by Barb and Jeff Morrill, makes individual communication systems for industrial use.

Evelands, Inc. of Backus was honored. Eveland's Inc, owned by Kent Eveland, designs, manufactures and sells Scamp travel trailers in Backus. They employ about 45.

Universal Templates Inc. of Pine River was the third business presented with a commemorative certificate. They design, manufacture and sell decorative concrete stamping systems.
