St. Joe's Pillager clinic opens house

Pillager Family Clinic is set for a dedication ceremony and open house.

The new full-service clinic in Pillager will have a full-time board-certified family physician on duty, Dr. Kathy Wimmer. The open house is 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday with a brief dedication ceremony. Refreshments will be served. The clinic is located at 707 Highway 210 West in Pillager.

The clinic is part of a multi-million dollar effort by St. Joseph's Medical Center that began recently with the expansion/renovation of the main hospital.

Wimmer, a native Minnesotan, has been practicing at Brainerd Medical Center since 1998. She completed medical school at the University of Minnesota and has been in practice since 1991.

As an affiliate of St. Joseph's Medical Center, the Pillager Family Clinic will operate as a non-profit member of the Benedictine Health System.
