The "Tech Team" assessment, sponsored by the Brainerd Lakes Area Chambers of Commerce, is a technology assessment that will review a business' current use of technology and seek to understand objectives for marketing, production, inventory and other controls.
The Tech Team will develop and deliver a plan that outlines technology and business practice alternatives to improve your operations and success.
Tech Team members are professionals in and around the Brainerd lakes area who work regularly in the field of technology and business. They are volunteers assisting business with challenges related to technology with extensive experience working with technology in various industries, as well as financial and marketing expertise.
Lisa Paxton, chamber chief executive officer, said the assessment is applicable for any size business.
There is no cost to participate and one chamber member business will be selected for this pilot assessment. The plan is to offer two-three assessments per quarter to interested businesses. The application deadline is Nov. 21.
To apply submit in writing, business name, primary contact name, location and explanation of why a business is in need of a technology assessment. Describe what technology challenges are faced and why the business would benefit from a Tech Team visit. Submit to: BLACC Tech Team, P.O. Box 356, Brainerd, MN 56401 or fax to 829-8199.
Individuals will meet with the Tech Team at their business. After the on-site assessment, the Tech Team will return to present various alternatives to increase awareness about choices available. The alternatives will include those local providers of products or services to help you achieve desired outcomes.
