Hulda C. Koehn Eschenbacher

MISSOULA, Mont. -- Hulda C. Koehn Eschenbacher, 88, Missoula, Mont., formerly of Brainerd, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001, in Missoula.

She was born April 19, 1913, in Marengo, Iowa, to Joe and Maria Koehn. She married the Rev. George B. Eschenbacher on Oct. 1, 1933, in Victor, Iowa. They served congregations of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod in Minnesota and Iowa. She was a Braille transcriber for many years and worked with Ongoing Ambassadors for Christ. She and her husband cared for many foster children.

Survivors include a son, George E. Eschenbacher; five daughters, Rosemary Watts, Arlene Cooper, Janice Melles, Rebecca Miller and Melissa Johns; 21 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Her husband and two infant sons died earlier.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
