Orville Jerome Hazuka, 73, Brainerd, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2001, at home.
He was born April 1, 1928, in Becker Township to Frank J. and Melvina (Quade) Hazuka. He graduated from Motley High School. He married Goldie Chambers in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples. They farmed in Becker Township. He worked at the Burlington Northern paint shop and then worked for Potlatch for 32 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and the Brainerd Eagles. He was a representative of the Trades and Labor Local No. 79 Union. He volunteered for the Meals on Wheels program.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Lana Miller, Cohasset, and Linda Regelin, Little Falls; a son, Dean Hazuka, Marion, Mont.; five grandchildren; and a brother, Gerald Hazuka, Hamilton, Mont.
His parents; a sister, Frances Ackerson; and a grandson died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Catholic Church with Father Seamus Walsh officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with parish prayers at 7 p.m.
