Richard L. Peterson

MESA, Ariz. -- Richard L. Peterson, 71, Mesa, Ariz., died Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, at his son's home in Brooklyn Park.

He was born Dec. 21, 1928, in Minneapolis.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Peterson, Mesa; two sons, Robert Stein, Shoreview, and Bill Stein, Brooklyn Park; three daughters, Fay Stein-Smestad, Isanti, Judith Trapp, Coon Rapids, and Joyce Lemmer, Coon Rapids; and six grandchildren.

His parents and a brother, Jim, died earlier.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Pierz with the Rev. Gerald Dalseth and the Rev. Joseph Gannon officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post No. 341 of Pierz.
