Lakewood Pillager clinic to host gathering

Lakewood Health System Pillager Clinic is hosting an open house.

A recent expansion project added 2,850 square feet to the Pillager Clinic, which originally opened in 2003. Last year, Lakewood reports more than 4,000 patients were served at the clinic, which was originally designed for family practice, physical therapy - with incontinence therapy services.

Lakewood is planning an open house from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 19 at the clinic. The public is invited to tour the clinic. No RSVP is needed. Refreshments, from The Shante, will be served.

Lakewood reports the additional clinic space will allow appointments with specialists, such as Dr. Carol Uhlman, OB/GYN, and Dr. Kathy Riordan, rheumatologist, as of January. Lakewood has five clinics - in Pillager, Staples, Motley, Eagle Bend and Browerville.
