The Brainerd Family YMCA is accepting registrations for its adult winter volleyball and adult basketball leagues.
Coed recreation and women's power volleyball will play Tuesday nights with coed power scheduled Thursday nights. League play will begin the week of Dec. 8.
Basketball league play begins the week of Dec. 8. Games will be played Monday and Wednesday nights.
Volleyball and basketball team captains may pick up registration materials at the YMCA.

Warrior bowlers finish second
Brainerd Warrior bowlers defeated St. Cloud Cathedral 5-0 and lost to St. Cloud Tech 2-3 in the position round last weekend at Granite Bowl in St. Cloud.
The Warriors were led by junior Mike Anderson, senior Abe Kretzman and sophomore Bryce Olshanski with 875, 862 and 818 percentage of fills. Kretzman had 19 of 29 possible strikes.
Tech won the conference title followed by Brainerd, St. Cloud Apollo, Sauk Rapids, Cathedral and Sartell.
The conference tournament will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Little Falls Bowling Center. At stake is a trip to the state tournament.
JV bowlers win conference title
Brainerd went 12-0 to win the conference bowling title last weekend at Granite Bowl in St. Cloud.
The Warriors won 58 individual games while losing only two.
Brainerd ended the season with the high team average (180), high team game (248), high team 5-game match (982), and high team 10-game match (871).
Nick Schueller, Aaron Blood, Brent Olson and Dan Van Essen led the Warriors in victory over St. Cloud Tech and Sartell.
The junior varsity season ends Saturday with the conference tournament at Little Falls Bowling Center.
BHS pool, gym open Sundays
The Brainerd High School pool and gym will be open to the public Sunday afternoons until March 28.
Pool hours will be from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Open gym hours are from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult for both activities. Fees are $3 per person, $6 per family. Participants are asked to enter through the west doors.
There will be no open pool or gym Dec. 28 and Feb. 8.

Volleyball tournament to benefit Nunnink
A macho man volleyball tournament is scheduled 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Brainerd High School gym to raise funds for Brainerd teacher/coach Steve Nunnink, who's recovering from an aneurysm.
Ten teams of male students will play. Spectators are asked to make a $2 donation to help the cause.
