Alice Maddalozzo H. Andrighetti

NISSWA -- Alice Maddalozzo Helen Andrighetti, 96, of Nisswa, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2003, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. Alice was born Oct. 31, 1907, in Pekin, Ill., to Quinto and Alminea (Maddalozzo) Maddalozzo. She was raised in Pekin and Peoria, Ill. She attended grade school and helped her father with his grocery business. She married Angelo M. Andrig-hetti Nov. 11, 1926, in Peoria. Together they operated the Paris Tavern. After his death in 1959, she was employed at Allied Mills in Bartonville, Ill. She moved to Arlington, Minn., in the late 1960s to be close to her family. In 1970, she retired to the Brainerd lakes area with her daughter, Almeda, and her husband. Alice enjoyed needlework, knitting and fishing. But her favorite hobby was cooking old Italian recipes that have been in her family for generations.

Alice is survived by her daughter, Almeda Kath; her son, Richard (Donna) Andrighetti of Colchester, Ill.; and grandson, Michael Andrighetti of Colchester, Ill. Her husband, Angelo, one son-in-law, one sister and one brother preceded her in death.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at St. Alice Catholic Church in Pequot Lakes with Father George Zeck officiating. Friends may gather one hour prior to services. Arrangements entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
