Former skeptic Don Bierle will present the evidence that changed his mind from doubt to confidence about the Christian faith Nov. 21 and 22 in Baxter. Bierle's presentation of FaithSearch will run 7 to 9 p.m. Nov. 21 and 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 22 at 3150 Fairview Road N. in Baxter. The event is sponsored by Lakewood Evangelical Free Church.
The First Congregational United Church of Christ, Brainerd, will continue its Sunday forums with a presentation by Kevin Pelkey speaking about Habitat For Humanity. Pelkey will give an update on this program that helps to provide homes in this area for people in need. The forum will start at 11:15 a.m., following the 10 a.m. church service. Refreshments will be served before the forum.
Aitkin Area Christian Women's Club
The Aitkin Area Christian Women's Club's continental breakfast, "Your Shopping Boutique," will be 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the American Legion Club. Cost will be $3.75. The feature will be a craft, bake and treasure sale with music provided by Musical Treasures and Bunny Vall with auto harp. Laurie Kimball of Minneapolis will speak about Spiritual Treasures.

Holiday bazaar and luncheon
The women of Park United Methodist Church in Brainerd will have their annual bazaar 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 22. Handmade crafts, clothing items, doll clothes and gift items will be for sale. The church cookbook will be sold at a reduced price.
The luncheon will be 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will include wild rice sausage soup, stuffed turkey roll, Waldorf salad, buffet of festive desserts and choice of tea flavors. Tickets for the luncheon are $7.50 for adults and can be purchased in advance from UMW members or at the church from 10:30-11:15 a.m. Sunday. A ticket will entitle the buyer to a chance at a door prize and a favor with the meal. Tickets are limited.
'To the Castle'
Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Baxter, will host a trip to the "Castle" for a turkey dinner served by costumed waiters along with jugglers, fire blowers and magicians at 6 p.m. Nov. 20-22 and 5 p.m. Nov. 23. The meal will be followed by the musical "To the Castle," performed by a large group of children through adults dressed appropriately for the period.
Tickets must be ordered by Monday at $7 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under or $24 for a family.
