Frances G. Olson
Frances G. Olson, 81, Brainerd, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002, in Watertown, S.D.
She was born June 23, 1921, in Brainerd to Fred and Sarah (Lease) Cartwright. She graduated from Washington High School in Brainerd in 1939. She married Clarence Olson in 1942 in Brainerd. She was a secretary at Whittier Elementary School for many years. She was a member of Community Covenant Church in Brainerd. She was active in Job's Daughters.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Jeffrey Olson, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Thomas Olson, Stoney Plains, Alberta, Canada, Thomas Haas, Anchorage, Alaska, and James Haas, Barrow, Ark.; two daughters, Tonia Barstad, Watertown, S.D., and Judy Otero, Albuquerque, N.M.; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A sister, Millicent Haas, died earlier.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Community Covenant Church in Brainerd with Pastor Jon Gerhls officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home in Brainerd and an hour before services Sunday at the church.
