I-Team to meet Tuesday in Baxter
BAXTER -- The Implementation Team, or I-Team, will review the draft feasibility study report authored by the Ayres Associates engineering firm at its next meeting set for 9 a.m. Tuesday at Baxter City Hall.
The draft feasibility study focuses on wastewater and sewer management issues in the Thirty Lakes Watershed District and Unorganized Territory in Crow Wing County.

YMCA youth dance planned for Friday
The Brainerd Family YMCA will host a dance for eighth- and ninth-graders from 8-10 p.m. Friday at the YMCA.
Music, dance, pop and snacks will be provided. Cost is $5.

Focus group meeting set Tuesday
As part of the Brainerd comprehensive plan process, the city of Brainerd is hosting the second of five focus group meetings.
The meeting will be 7-9:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mississippi Horizons Middle School in Brainerd. The first portion of the meeting will be a continued discussion on the existing land use in Brainerd.
The second portion of the meeting will be a discussion of what is economic development. After a working understanding of what economic development involves then discussion of how it can work for Brainerd will take place. From this discussion, policies and goals will be created for the city.

Membership test session set
The Minnesota Mensa Group from American Mensa, the world's high IQ society, will have a membership test session Saturday at the Brainerd Public Library.
The test registration will start at 10 a.m., and the tests will run 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
The group now plans to support a new area group in Brainerd.
There is a test materials fee of $30, a picture ID is needed, and minimum age for direct testing is 14.
Brainerd FFA selling fruit
The Brainerd FFA is currently selling oranges, apples, pears and grapefruit, along with mixed fruit gift boxes, to raise funds. They also are selling candy and nuts as well as pork gift packs and sausages from Norway Ridge Farms.
Orders will be taken from a FFA member, or by calling 829-9515 or via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. Orders will be taken until Monday and will be available to pick up Dec. 16.
All proceeds from the sale will be used for the national and state conventions and leadership development and community service projects.
