LITTLE FALLS -- Anthony "Tony" Deering, 73, Little Falls, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2001, at St. Cloud Hospital.
He was born Dec. 14, 1927, in Little Falls to the late John and Pauline (Olek) Deering. He married Marcella Nelson on March 16, 1970. Together they farmed near Twin Lakes, west of Little Falls, for all of his life.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Tony Deering, Little Falls; three daughters, Veloy Kay, Michelle Westerberg and Becky Deering, all of Little Falls; four brothers, Richard Deering, Minneapolis, Leonard Deering, Minneapolis, Joseph Deering, High Point, N.C., and Ben Deering, Cambridge; two sisters, Anna Mea Hatch, and Margie Snipstad, both of Minneapolis; and four grandchildren.
His parents, three brothers and one sister died earlier.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls with Father Mark Innocenti and Pastor Carl Larson officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of Lourdes parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until services Friday at Brenny Funeral Home (West Chapel) in Little Falls. Parish prayers will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
