A lowland grass fire southeast of South Long Lake burned about 14 acres early Thursday.
The fire, off County Road 132, was reported about 6:10 a.m. Both the DNR and Pierz Fire Department responded.
Mark Mortensen, DNR forester, said the fire threatened structures as it burned through pasture, but no buildings were damaged and no one was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation, Mortensen said.
Fire units were at the scene about two hours.
