Austin Darrence Thoms

LANDSTUHL, Germany -- Funeral services for Austin Darrence Thoms, infant son of TSGT Jon A. and Krissa D. Thoms of Spangdahlem AFB, Germany, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at Prairie Haven Chapel in Hobbs, N.M., under the direction of Chapel of Hope. Officiating will be Pastors William and Mary Hicks and Pastor Charles Farina.

Austin was born Oct. 8, 2004, at Landstuhl Army Medical Center in Landstuhl, Germany. He died four-and-a-half hours later on Oct. 9, 2004.

Austin is survived by his parents; one sister, Faith Noel Bieker of Robins AFB, Georgia; paternal grandparents, Larry and Nancy Thoms of Deerwood, Minn.; maternal grandparents, Herb and Lou Beth Allen of Hobbs, N.M.; paternal great-grandfather, Harold Harnois of Brainerd, Minn; maternal great-grandparents, Roy and Anita Weaver of Hobbs, N.M.; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Austin was preceded in death by his grandfather, Darrence Weaver.

A memorial book will be available to sign at Chapel of Hope 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday.
