The Central Lakes College Music Department will present "Music in the Good Ol' USA" by the CLC Cantare Concert Chorale, Women's Choir and Chamber Singers at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Tornstrom Auditorium, Washington Middle School, Brainerd. The performance is free to the public.
Accompanied by pianist Sarah Cohoes, the chorale will open the concert with "Festival Cantate," with words and music by Audrey Snyder. Steve Ruprecht of Cold Spring will accompany on congas.
"Only Hope" will feature cellist Dawnielle Gadacz of the Brainerd High School Orchestra and is based on the Nicholas Sparks book-to-movie, "A Walk To Remember." Other selections include "Let Us Love In Peace" from the musical "The Beautiful Game," and "Shepherd Me Lord."
The CLC Women's Choir will perform "Bashana Haba'ah" and "Life Has Loveliness to Sell."
Robyn Gorkiewicz of Brainerd has a solo in the CLC Chamber Singers medley of "Chicago" tunes Tuesday at Tornstrom Auditorium.
After intermission, the Chamber Singers will perform highlights from the musical "Chicago," accompanied by Cohoes and featuring soloist Robyn Gorkiewicz of Brainerd.
The ensemble will close with a medley from the motion picture "O Brother Where Art Thou?" featuring Adam Pryzmus of Little Falls and accompanists David Winkelman on guitar and Steve Anderson on bass.
