McGREGOR -- Edward W. Berge, 72, McGregor, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at his home.
He was born Jan. 4, 1930, in Isle to John G. and Lorretta (Wright) Berge. He attended schools in McGrath, Barnum and in California. He served in the Army during the Korean War and continued to serve until his retirement in 1974. He married Klara Zellner on Nov. 16, 1957, in Marktleuthen, Germany. They retired to McGregor in 1975 and had lived there ever since.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Tracy Berge, Paulsbo, Wash., John Berge, McGregor, Thomas Berge, Plymouth, and Ronald Berge, North Stonington, Conn.; a daughter, Vicky Keating, Plaserville, Calif.; a brother, Howard Berge, Sand Point, Idaho; two sisters, Betty McMinn, McCool, Miss., and Mary Jane Davenport, Mineral Springs, Ark.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
His parents, three brothers and one sister died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at McGregor Funeral Home in McGregor with the Rev. Roy Vanderwerf officiating.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
