Alexis Palo of Little Falls and Adam Guderian of Baxter have been elected co-presidents and Michael Karnowski of Pierz is treasurer of the Central Lakes College Science & Engineering Club.
The organization meets weekly with an hour devoted to guest speakers from the area who are engaged in professional activities related to science and engineering.
Adviser Brian Kohn, a retired Air Force engineer, is an instructor of engineering and physics at the college in Brainerd. He has developed the local AAS and AS degree programs now offered for pre-engineering students who transfer to engineering universities with two years of credit toward a bachelor's degree.
Kohn said the CLC Engineering Council convenes monthly as a means to enlist area professionals in the development and maintenance of modern curriculum.
For information on making a presentation or participating in either the club or the council, call Kohn at 855-8172 or e-mail him at firstname.lastname@example.org
