The Brainerd Jiujitsu team competed in the Greater Mid-west Jiujitsu Submission Championships Saturday in Minneapolis.
Competitors included Jerod Feierabend, who finished first in the middleweight category; and Brock Larson, first in the light heavyweight division. Bruce LaFavor competed in the heavyweight division.
All remained undefeated by submission.
Joan Ebnet of Brainerd High School and Sam Park of Little Falls have been named to the All-Central Lakes Conference volleyball team.

Four Wadena area boxers on boxing card
Marsh Gym in Minneapolis is sponsoring a two-day invitational Golden Gloves tournament for male and female boxing this weekend.
Sessions on Saturday will be from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7:30 to 10 p.m. at the Coon Rapids American Legion Club. Sunday's session is from 12:30 to 4 p.m. at Fred Moore High School in Anoka.
Cody McManigle will box at 125 pounds, Dewayne Steward at 142 and T.J. Steward at 147. In the female division, Lacey Kuschel of Nimrod will box at 125 pounds.
The Wadena Area Boxing program is under way. Ages 10 and up are eligible to participate. Practices are Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-8 p.m. at Wadena Armory.

Campbell sets school record in 500 free
Brainerd's Erica Campbell set a school record in the 500-yard freestyle in the Section 8, Class 2A finals Saturday at Alexandria.
Campbell placed third in the event with a time of 5:32.24, breaking the school record set by Cori Severson (5:34.98) in 1999.
