Forum to be presented

"Congregations Concerned for Kids" will be Norma Bourland's forum topic after the 10 a.m. service Sunday at First Congregational United Church of Christ, Brainerd. Refreshments will be served before the forum. The church is at 415 Juniper St., across from Gregory Park's southwest corner. First Congregational UCC is an open and affirming congregation.

Evangelistic meeting slated

Pastor Tom Kyle, Milaca, will hold evangelistic meetings 7 p.m. Sunday though Wednesday at Thomastown Covenant Church, rural Staples. Kyle serves as an evangelist and conference speaker for the Christian and Missionary Alliance. He has addressed audiences in Europe, Africa, South America, Asia, Russia and across the United States and Canada. The Schimpps will provide music. Directions to the church from Staples: Go north on Fourth Street to the technical college, then two miles west on County Road 2 and four miles north on County Road 29.

Holiday bazaar scheduled

The women of Park United Methodist Church, 315 N. Sixth St., Brainerd, will host their annual bazaar 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 20. Handmade crafts, clothing items, gift baskets and Christmas items will be for sale. The church cookbook will be available at a reduced price. Lunch will be served 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will include wild rice sausage soup, stuffed turkey roll, waldorf salad and a buffet of festive desserts. Luncheon tickets are $7.99 for adults.

Concert to be presented

The Symphonic Band from Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Watertown, Wis., will present a concert 7 p.m. Monday at Faith Baptist Church. Rick Townsend directs the 57-member band, which will perform selections highlighting the Thanksgiving season and patriotism. The church is at 229 28th St. E., Brainerd.

Healing services set

Heartland Healing, an independent, non-denominational healing ministry, holds healing services each Tuesday at Aitkin Assembly of God Church on Highway 169 in south Aitkin, next to the DNR. Prayer and praise runs 7 to 8 p.m. with ministering of healing from 8 to 9 p.m. All who are suffering difficulties are welcome.
