Raider women fall by 32

WILLMAR - Ridgewater's Kari Caspers dropped 30 points on Central Lakes College leading to a 81-49 season-opening loss for the Raiders on Tuesday.

Kelsey Guetter scored 19 points, Allii Holt tallied 12 and Whitley Strei scored 10 as Ridgewater used its height advantage to build a 40-19 halftime edge.

"We were a little slow getting out of the gates," said Raiders head coach Dennis Eastman. "We have a starting point now. We'll go back and look at the tape and learn from here.

"They had three 6-footers and they used them very well."

Cassie Pearson led the Raiders with 16 points. Brittany Gravelle and Alicia Johnson each scored eight for CLC, which shot just 28 percent from the field.

CLC's Carlee Davich posted seven points and seven rebounds.
