The good, the bad and the downright ugly - it all came out at a town meeting with members of the Regional/Urban Design Assistance Team. Those attending talked of things needed in Brainerd, but focused most on the need for cooperative leadership.

Pointing to Armistice Day as the monument to the success of right over might the guest speaker at the 25th annual American Legion duck dinner said the American people should rededicate themselves. More than 600 Brainerd Legionnaires and guests were served.
80 years ago (1929)
Eleven years after the close of the World War found Brainerd and community today expressing thanks for world wide peace rather than celebrating in a measure the joyfulness displayed at the culmination of the big strife.
