STAPLES - Get a jump on holiday decorating as Living Legacy Gardens offers a class on constructing and decorating a balsam wreath from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 19 at the Central Lakes College Agriculture Center classroom in Staples.
Instructors help participants form a fresh balsam wreath and then demonstrate ideas for decorating it. By the end of the workshop, participants have created their own holiday wreath for a door or mantel.
An assortment of ribbons, pine cones and other decorations will be available. Participants may bring a ribbon or decoration of their own to use. Participants should bring pruning shears, gardening gloves and scissors. Participants cut the balsam greens for the wreaths.
Seasonal treats are provided throughout the workshop.
This workshop is made available through the cooperative efforts of Living Legacy Gardens/Central Lakes College and Staples-Motley Community Education.
This workshop is offered to the first 45 people registered and is filling quickly. The cost of this workshop is $25.
