Attention area hunters: Consider Kinship Partners

Fall is the favorite season of the year for a lot of men, when they eat, sleep and breathe hunting. It's a time of male bonding and camaraderie with your best friends.

If you have been thinking about becoming a Kinship partner but have never started the process, how about asking one of those hunting buddies to sign up to be a Kinship partner with you? Studies show that nearly half of all people who volunteer started because they were asked to by someone they know. So if you have a good friend whom you get together with for hunting, fishing, football and other "guy" things, why don't you both consider sharing some of that time with junior partners?

We have 40 boys on our waiting list who need positive male role models in their lives. Many of the boys are looking for someone just like you who likes hunting, fishing and football - or tinkering with cars, camping, bowling or science fiction movies. Our boys have a wide range of activities that they would like to try so we will be able to match you with a junior partner who has similar interests.

While we encourage each partnership to have some one-on-one time, there can still be plenty of opportunities to plan activities with others. Sign up with a buddy today.
