Engineering Day for high schools set at CLC

Brian Kohn and Michael Miller, instructors, scheduled a morning of informational sessions presented by university engineering students, who will describe projects and jobs in which they are involved while completing degrees.

Kohn and Miller also will present mini-sessions.

Speakers will be CLC alumni Adam Kuiken and Debbie Jacklitch, who are earning mechanical engineering degrees from North Dakota State University. Kuiken will discuss his work as project director with TRW in the aerospace industry. Jacklitch, who has a degree in meteorology, will talk of her experience in that field, as well as engineering.

Branelle Cibuzar of Brainerd, who is also a mechanical engineering student at NDSU, will relate experiences as a NASA intern. Her father is Alan Cibuzar of AW Research, a past presenter at Engineering Day.

Kohn will talk about engineering opportunities in the military. He is a retired Air Force engineer. Miller will talk about civil and environmental engineering.

No pre-registration is required, and students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m.
