Bill McComas won the Brainerd Warrior fan of the year award at the Warrior Football banquet.

30 years ago (1972)

Bob House, Brainerd High School Hockey coach, was elected president of the Brainerd Amateur Hockey Assn., a corporation which was formed in a meeting at the First National Bank Building Sunday.

40 years ago (1962)

Proof that deer hunting is off to a good start in this part of Minnesota is shown by the 151 bucks and does registered as of 10:30 a.m. today at Lassig's Log Cabin.

60 years ago (1942)

There are approximately 1,000 airplane spotters enlisted in the airplane spotter service in Crow Wing County. This organization is being recruited in all cities.

80 years ago (1922)

Robert Duerr, Louis Kinder, J. Davison, Levi Johnson, E.G. Roth returned from Nisswa where they held a weekend stag party at the cottage belonging to Mrs. Irma C. Hartley.

100 years ago (1902)

Chas. Swanson has installed his new fixtures in his Laurel Street Saloon and they make a swell addition to the place.
