Fort Ripley home lost to fire

FORT RIPLEY - A Fort Ripley home was lost to fire Tuesday, said Brainerd Fire Chief Fred Underhill.

The double-wide mobile home at 3110 Staghorn Drive was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. About a dozen firefighters responded to the fire that was reported at 12:14 p.m.

No one was in the house at the time of the fire. Underhill said his office was still trying to locate the homeowners.

Underhill said the cause of the fire will be investigated by the state fire marshal's office.
