EAST GULL LAKE - Two Brainerd area residents were injured Monday in a two-vehicle, head-on crash on Cass County Road 77, just east of Madden's Resort in East Gull Lake, reported the State Patrol.
Norma J. Nelson, 58, had serious injuries and was airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital. Nelson was in critical condition.

Larry Zarling, 57, rural Brainerd, was transported to St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd for non-life threatening injuries of chest pains, bruising and cuts.
It was reported that the Chevrolet Blazer Nelson was driving, was traveling west on County Road 77 when she lost control of the vehicle on black ice, crossed the center line and crashed head-on into Zarling's Ford Ranger.
The accident was reported at 7:58 a.m.
Royalton man injured in ATV crash
Lucas Hoheisel, 23, Royalton, was injured in an all-terrain vehicle crash about 6:11 p.m. Saturday on Morrison Line Road, the Todd County Sheriff's office reported.
Hoheisel was transported to St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls where he was treated and then released. The Todd County Sheriff's office reported alcohol was believed to be a factor in the crash.
Rollover crash injures rural Staples woman
STAPLES - A single vehicle rollover injured a rural Staples woman, the Staples Police Department reported.
Driver Nickole M. Andert, 26, was transported to Lakewood Health System in Staples.
The crash was reported about 9 a.m. Monday on Todd County Road 7, east of Highway 210. The police department reported a Pontiac Grand Am was found on the north side of the road, turned over, resting on the driver's side and leaning against a tree.
When Officer Chris Goff arrived, he reported Staples Fire Chief Scott Braith was inside the vehicle holding Andert's neck stable. Andert was removed from the vehicle by the Staples Fire Department and Staples Ambulance. The Staples police assisted the Todd County Sheriff's Department on the scene.
A condition update was not available from Lakewood Health System Monday.
