The Brainerd Fire Department was called to a garage fire at 8:33 p.m. Sunday on the 1400 block of Quince Street.

In other weekend calls, the fire department responded to a fire alarm at 8:50 a.m. Saturday at Brainerd High School that turned out to be a false alarm. At 9:16 a.m. Sunday, firefighters were called to the 14000 block of Baxter Drive in Baxter to investigate a report of smoke. Firefighters cleared the scene at 9:31 a.m.
