There will be a special meeting of the Brainerd Planning Commission at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Brainerd City Hall conference room.

NAMI meeting scheduled Thursday

The NAMI North Central Region, including Aitkin, Cass, Crow Wing, Morrison, Todd and Wadena counties, will have its monthly education and support meeting from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Northern Pines Mental Health Center's "Our Place" program location, 606 Front St., Brainerd. The speaker will be Maggie Jarry, MS, mental health program consultant, Adult Mental Health Division, Minnesota Department of Human Services, on the topic of growing up with a parent who has a mental illness. All community members are invited.

Legislative forum planned Jan. 12

The Minnesota State Council on Disability Legislative forum will be available via video conferencing and Web streaming with closed captioning from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Jan. 12 at the Brainerd Crow Wing County Community Service Building, 204 Laurel St., Room 31H.
