NISSWA -- Helene Ida Klatt, 77, Nisswa, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, at her daughter's home in Big Lake.
She was born March 25, 1923, in Hamborn, Germany, to Emil and Frieda (Holdack) Fischer. She married Ralph Klatt on Jan. 5, 1952, in Minneapolis. She lived in Robbinsdale and Nisswa. She was a receptionist at the Bungalow Motel for more than 20 years. She was a member of the VFW in Crystal and the Pequot Lakes American Legion. She volunteered for the elderly and veterans.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary "Kay" Rudolph, Baxter, Suzanne Thompson, Elk River, and Teresa Taylor, Minneapolis; eight grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a sister, Elfriede Lobeck, Elk River.
Her husband died earlier.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery of Osseo. A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Nov. 19 at St. Alice Catholic Church of Pequot Lakes. Memorials are preferred to St. Joseph's Home Care and Hospice.
