MOTLEY -- Ann Marie Marolf, 83, Motley, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000, at St. Cloud Hospital.
She was born June 1, 1917, in Bismarck, N.D., to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zimmerle. She was raised by her grandparents in Hayworden, Iowa, until she was 9. She moved to Mott, N.D. to live with her father. In 1936 they moved to Wadena and later near Leader. She married Fred Marolf on Aug. 3, 1947, in Brainerd. They lived in the Leader area until 1954 and then moved to Idaho and later to Montana. They moved back to the farm near Leader in 1963. They spent five summers running a fishing camp in Ontario, Canada. She worked as a practical nurse for several years.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Fred Marolf Jr., Fairfield, Idaho, and Robert Marolf, Starbuck; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and a sister died earlier.
Services wil be 11 a.m. Saturday at Swan Valley Lutheran Church of Leader with the Rev. Bill Schardin officiating. Burial will be in Motley Public Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Brenny Funeral Home of Staples.
