PINE RIVER - A 58-year-old Crosslake man was injured Friday after he lost control of the vehicle he was driving. The vehicle crossed the center line and hit a Crow Wing Power truck head-on on Crow Wing County Road 1, six miles east of Pine River, reported the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Department.
Thomas Bebeau was taken to St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd to be treated for his injuries. He was in stable condition Saturday morning.
The driver of the truck, Scott Seeling, 36, Breezy Point, was treated at the scene by North Ambulance.
The accident was reported at 8:08 a.m. It was reported that the road conditions were slick and appeared to have contributed to the crash.
Assisting the county at the scene were the Crosslake and the Pequot Lakes police departments and Ideal Fire Department.
Two teens hospitalized after vehicle stalls in deep puddle near mine pits
CROSBY - Two teens were hospitalized Friday after their vehicle stalled in a deep puddle on Dwy Lulling Road in the mine pits near Bush Hill in Crosby, reported the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Department.
Mary Kay Johnson, 19, Crosby, and Jennifer Joe Erickson, 18, Merrifield, were taken to Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby by ambulance to be treated for hypothermia. The hospital had no information on Johnson, but reported that Erickson has since been released.
William Dotzler, 18, Ironton, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was not hospitalized.
The incident was reported at 3:17 a.m.
Assisting the county at the scene were Crosby Ambulance and Crosby Fire Department.
