Openings are still available for the Brainerd School District Community Education Holiday Bake 'em and Take 'em Cookies Class.

Food service staff from the district will instruct the class and assist. The dough is pre-mixed. Bring containers to hold 10 dozen cookies and an apron.

Only registered participants 12 years and older are allowed in the kitchen. Cost is $40.

'Wines for Holidays' class set

AITKIN - The Northern Lights Wine Club will offer the class, "Wines for the Holidays," at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 15 at the Beanery Internet Cafe in downtown Aitkin.

Cost is $20 for members and $25 for non-members.

The class will sample several wines from around the world, from sparkling wines to Nouveau Beaujolais to dessert wines. A small assortment of appetizers will be available.
