20 years ago (1985)

For the past three years Rudy Hillig of the Paul Bunyan Arboretum has been making wreaths for Brainerd Scout Troop 43 which the scouts then use as a fund-raiser.

30 years ago (1975)

Blue jeans, records, games and a host of other articles make up Brainerd High School's Model Store, the "Quadriphonic Depot" for the 1975-76 school year.

40 years ago (1965)

Male students at the Brainerd Junior College will be sporting lapel placards this week that form a sharp contrast to some colleagues in other parts of the nation who have been making a display of burning their draft cards.

60 years ago (1945)

A light snow fell in Brainerd today while temperatures plunged to 28 degrees this noon with indication of a marked drop before nightfall.

80 years ago (1925)

Chicken dinner, Sunday, 65 at Ideal Hotel, under new management.

100 years ago (1905)

Local News: Miss Julia McGrath has closed the Stratton Hotel here and will locate at Jenkins and conduct a hotel. The Degree of Honor will give a dancing party tonight at Elks Hall. Tickets are 25.
