The following students were named Students of the Month for November at Pillager High School: Stephanie Burnham, physical education; Chelsey Gangestad, Spanish; Taylor Hanson, English; Ally Hunstad, math; Sara Rassler, social studies; Cheryl Wulff, science; Natasha Vandekamp, business; Wills Maclaughlin, industrial technology; Mckenzie Euerle, family and consumer science; Alicia Hill, art.
Eleshia Pitcher, granddaughter of Larry and Barbara Pitcher of Pine River, and Matt Boone, son of Patrick and Peggy Boone of Randall, were selected Students of the Month for November in a recognition program sponsored by the Youth Activities Committee of Brainerd Elks Lodge No. 615.
Pitcher is involved in theater, is co-captain of the cheerleading squad, is in choir and received the 110 Percent award. She plans to attend college to major in computer graphics, advertising and design.
Boone is a senior at Little Falls High School and is involved in golf and hockey. In hockey, he was named an all-tournament selection. He is manager of the volleyball team. He has been a state finalist the last two years in DECA and is DECA president. He plans to attend college to pursue a degree in marketing.
Carrie Schlicht, Walker, is an editor for New Voices, an anthology published annually by Bemidji State University. She is a managing editor for fiction for the publication and a graduate student in the English program.
