The Lakes Area Drug Investigative Division arrested a woman Wednesday for the sale of controlled substances at her northeast Brainerd residence, Crow Wing County Sheriff Eric Klang reported.
On Wednesday, agents from the drug investigative division responded to a home in the 700 block of Sixth Avenue Northeast in Brainerd after receiving numerous complaints concerning suspected drug activity.
When agents arrived at the residence, they met with the 38-year-old woman who was found to be in possession of an amount of suspected methamphetamine. After a subsequent search with a warrant, additional quantity of suspected methamphetamine was seized. Stolen property also was seized.
The suspect was arrested and taken to the Crow Wing County Jail. Reports have been forwarded to the Crow Wing County attorney's office for consideration of felony charges, said Klang.
Lakes Area Drug Investigative Division agents were assisted by officers from the Brainerd Police Department.
Klang said if residents suspect drug activity in their neighborhoods, contact the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Department or local law enforcement agency.
