Orchestral works from America, Italy, Austria and several other countries will be performed Tuesday during the Brainerd High School Chamber and Sinfonia orchestras' fall concert in Tornstrom Auditorium at Washington Middle School in Brainerd.
Modern American compositions -- "The Gift" by William Hofeldt and "Geometric Dances" by Richard Meyer -- will make up about half the program for the Sinfonia Orchestra, which opens the concert at 7:30 p.m. with "Antique Dances and Airs" by Italian Ottorino Respighi.

Richard Wagner's "Entrance and March of the Guests" will conclude the Sinfonia's portion of the program.
The Chamber Orchestra will open with English composer William Boyce's "Symphony #4," followed by Russian Sergei Rachmaninow's contemporary "Scherzo for String Orchestra."
The Chamber group's program will conclude with Johann Sebastian Bach's "Suite No. 5 in G Minor" and Wolfgang Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik."
Both orchestras will be directed by Grant Wilcox, who has designated the concert as a benefit for the local Soup Kitchen.
