Collins named Iowa Conference Performer of the Week

DECORAH, Iowa - Josiah Collins, a 2006 graduate of Brainerd High School, was named the Iowa Conference Performer of the Week in Swimming and Diving for Luther College on Thursday.
Collins won the 200 freestyle (1:49.15) and 500 freestyle (5:04.10) in a double dual sweep of Morningside College (58-35) and Simpson College (56-28).
The Norse will host St. Cloud State University at 4 p.m. Friday.
Blanck, St. Bernard's play for section title
Brainerd High School graduate Dawson Blanck is the offensive coordinator for St. Bernard's High School in St. Paul, which will play Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City for the Section 4-1A championship at 7 p.m. Friday at Hamline University.
Blanck will coach in the third section final of his 10-year coaching career.
