Doris Ressler

FERGUS FALLS -- Doris Ressler, 73, Fergus Falls, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls.

She was born Oct. 4, 1929, in Rutland, Iowa, to Clifford and Lois (Jurgens) Saxby. She graduated from Rutland High School in 1947. She married Gordon Gregory. He died in 1971. In 1973, she married Bill Ressler. She worked many years in retail in Algona, Iowa. They moved to Minnesota in 1977, where she continued working in retail. She later was employed with Telnet where she worked until retiring in 1991. She was a member of Federated Church.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, Roger Gregory, Crystal Lake, Ill., Randy Gregory, Mazeppa, Robert Ressler, Globe, Ariz., and David Ressler, Manitowoc, Wis.; three daughters, Geraldine Stripling, Manning, Iowa, Suzanne Bormann, Pinewood, and Nancy Waller, Breezy Point; 16 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a sister, Mary Kerston, Lamar, Mo.

Her parents and two sisters died earlier.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Nov. 15 at Federated Church in Fergus Falls with the Rev. Myles Alexander and the Rev. Ron Heneley officiating.
