DFL gubernatorial candidate Kelley to conduct roundtable on education
WADENA - Steve Kelley, a DFL gubernatorial candidate, will speak at an Education and Innovation Round Table at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Wadena at the Cybercafe at 210 Jefferson St.
Kelley served in the Minnesota Legislature from 1992 to 2006 and is currently a teacher and senior fellow at the Humphrey Institute and the director of the Center for Science, Technology and Public Policy.
Senior Class Care in Pequot Lakes will honor veterans on Wednesday
PEQUOT LAKES - Senior Class Care will host an appreciation for veterans at the assisted living quarters at 4451 East Woodman St. in Pequot Lakes. The event will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday (Veterans Day). Coffee, juice and cookies will be available. Entertainment will be provided by pianist Marge Adamietz. The festivities are open to the public.
