CROSBY - Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby plans to build a new inpatient unit with private patient rooms and a new front entrance and to renovate the current inpatient unit.
The new inpatient unit will be built on the south side of the current campus. The project will begin with the removal of the south wing of the current inpatient hospital and will require closing the current rehabilitation services parking lot.
Starting Monday, patients no longer will be able to use this parking area. They will need to park in the main campus parking lot.
Beginning Monday, patients will be offered shuttle services from the parking area to the building. CRMC security officers will shuttle patients in a van from a designated parking area within the current parking lot. Patients will be shuttled from their vehicle to the campus entrance that is closest, and most appropriate, for their appointment. Personal mobility scooters will be available inside the medical center to help those who have difficulty walking from the entrance to their appointment. The shuttle service also will provide transportation for patients back to their vehicle.
