WALKER -- Former Cass County part-time corrections officer Robert James Stoneking, 58, Longville, was sentenced to six months jail for felony third-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Judge John P. Smith stayed a 48-month prison sentence and placed Stoneking on 15 years probation. Stoneking must pay $700 to the polygraph fund, submit a DNA sample to the state and register with the state as a sex offender.
He engaged in consensual sex with a female inmate Jan. 1 while transporting the inmate to Cass County Jail from a medical appointment in Cass Lake. She reported the incident to another corrections officer after returning to jail.
Man sentenced for swindle
WALKER -- Eric Allen Johnson, 34, St. Cloud, will serve 89 days on electronic home monitoring at his own expense for felony theft by swindle.
Johnson was placed on five years supervised probation and ordered him to pay $25,879.50 restitution. Johnson will serve this sentence consecutive to a sentence issued earlier for three felony theft counts.
The former Longville businessman cashed checks from two customers in March for personal watercraft, but failed to deliver the merchandise.
In the earlier theft case, he had received funds in excess of $200,000 from former customers' credit cards without their knowledge in January and February. He is on 20 years probation for that case, received three concurrent one-year jail terms and was fined $10,000.
Restitution has yet to be set in the case involving credit cards.

WALKER -- The following recently appeared in Cass County District Court:
Nathan Bruce Hunt, 19, Bagley, was sentenced for felony motor vehicle use without consent to 72 days jail, ordered to serve 10 sentence to serve days in lieu of a fine and placed on five years supervised probation.
Hunt was sentenced on a second case for felony fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle to 69 days jail, consecutive to the first sentence, 10 days sentence to serve in lieu of a fine and placed on three years supervised probation.
Hunt was sentenced on a third case for felony second-degree arson to 69 days jail, consecutive to the other two sentences, ordered to serve 10 sentence to serve days in lieu of a fine and placed on 10 years supervised probation.
Cynthia Lee Weyaus, 36, Walker, was sentenced for gross misdemeanor DWI to 45 days work release, fined $1,000 and placed on three years supervised probation.
Daniel Cullen Quinn, 22, Crystal, was sentenced for a lesser-included gross misdemeanor domestic assault to jail time served and placed on two years supervised probation.
Daniel Fred Larson, 45, Backus, was sentenced for a lesser-included felony third-degree assault to 145 days jail and placed on five years supervised probation.
Tannie Rae Hagen, 42, Backus, received a stay of adjudication of sentence for felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime (possession) and was placed on five years supervised probation.
Ryan Daniel Gervais, 23, New Port, was found in violation of probation he is serving for a lesser-included gross misdemeanor theft by temporary control and was ordered to serve 30 days concurrently with a Washington County sentence.
Justin Other Borman, 31, Backus, was found in violation of probation he was serving for felony fifth-degree controlled substance crime (possession) and received execution of the year and a day prison sentence pending against him, to be served concurrently with a federal prison sentence he is serving.
Edwina Georgeianna Golden, 29, Redby, formerly of Pine River, was found in violation of probation she is serving for gross misdemeanor fifth-degree domestic assault and was ordered to serve an additional 30 days jail.
