Raymond Schoessling

LITTLE FALLS -- Raymond Schoessling, 93, Little Falls, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at St. Gabriel's Hospital of Little Falls.

He was born April 27, 1907, in Des Plaines, Ill., to Frederick and Martha Schoessling. He married Josephine Susalski on Jan. 23, 1928, in Chicago. He was a labor leader in the Chicago area. He retired in 1984 and moved to Little Falls.

Survivors include a son, James, Glenview, Ill.; four daughters, Joan Carlson, Royalton, Janet Lyter, Little Falls, Peggy Hoffman, Morton Grove, Ill., and Susan Frank, Clear Lake; 20 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

His wife, a son, Raymond Jr., and a granddaughter, died earlier.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church of Belle Prairie with Father Leroy Kremer and Father Raymond Donnay officiating. Burial will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery of Little Falls. Memorials are preferred to the Josephine and Ray Schoessling Radiation Therapy Center, St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital, 2233 West Division Street, Chicago, Ill., 60622.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Brenny-Simonet Funeral Home-East Chapel of Little Falls with parish prayers at 7 p.m. and from 8:30 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
