BOSTON (AP) -- Red Sox great Ted Williams is in the intensive care unit at a Florida hospital where he was taken with congestive heart failure, the Boston Globe reported Saturday.
Doctors at the University Florida's medical center are strongly considering implanting a pacemaker to control his heart rate, according to the newspaper.
A hospital spokesperson early Saturday morning told The Associated Press the Hall of Famer was in fair condition but that his family requested that no other information be given out.
