Crow Wing sheriff
ARREST - Arrested a 51-year-old man for terroristic threats and first-degree arson at 10:25 p.m. Sunday after he poured gas on his ex-wife's vehicle and attempted to set it on fire at her residence on the 20000 block of Bob's Road in Garrison.

CRASHES - No injuries were reported after a vehicle struck a deer at 7:18 p.m. Sunday on Crow Wing County Road 45 at Crow Wing County Road 2.

No injuries were reported after a vehicle struck a deer at 7:18 p.m. Saturday at Wise Road and Gregory Way.

No injuries were reported after a vehicle struck a deer at 6:07 a.m. Friday on the 20000 block of Iron Hub Road.

THEFTS - Freedom Station, 18316 Highway 371, on Sunday reported the attempted theft of signs from outside the building.

A gas drive off was reported Sunday at Holiday Station, 27390 Highway 169 in Garrison.

Misty Peterson, 8000 block of Highway 371, Saturday reported her vehicle stolen. Her vehicle was located burned in Cass County.

Robert Westlund, 10000 block of Northgate Lane, Saturday reported the theft of fishing equipment.

BURGLARY - Beverly Bihler Switzer, 800 block of Barstow Road, Friday reported her garage broken into and items stolen.

Staples police

THEFT - A diesel fuel drive-off of $317 was reported Monday at the SuperAmerica station, 1101 Second Ave. N.E.

Nathalie Miller on Thursday reported her wallet was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked on the 300 block of Second Street Southeast.

ARRESTS - Arrested a man for domestic assault and interfering with a 911 call at 4:11 p.m. Sunday at a residence on the 100 block of Wisconsin Avenue Southeast, where the man was hiding in a closet.

Arrested a 28-year-old man on a warrant for third-degree sale of methamphetamine after assisting the drug task force with a search warrant at 8:08 a.m. Friday at a residence in Staples.

CRASHES - No injuries were reported after a wheel fell off a vehicle at 1:10 a.m. Saturday at Todd County Road 30 and 12th Street.

One person was injured and later transported to Staples Health System after his vehicle struck a light pole at 11:52 p.m. Thursday on the 100 block of Fifth Street.

FIRES - Assisted the Staples Fire Department with an oven fire at 5 p.m. Thursday at an apartment on the 600 block of Autumn Avenue. The resident forgot to take a plastic bowl out of the oven and it melted. Firefighters ventilated the apartment.

Assisted the Staples Fire Department with a fire at 5:26 a.m. Wednesday at a building on the 600 block of Sixth Street Southeast.

Baxter police

PROPERTY DAMAGE - It was reported Sunday a mailbox was damaged on the 10000 block of Kenwood Drive.

CRASHES - No injuries were reported in a crash at 12:38 p.m. Sunday at Highway 371 and Pine Beach Road.

No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision at 11:24 a.m. Sunday at Highway 371 and Glory Road.

No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle, side-swipe collision at 3:47 p.m. Saturday at College Road and Dogwood Drive.

No injuries were reported in a crash at 5:04 a.m. Friday at Highway 210 and Memorywood Drive. The driver of the vehicle was cited for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and no proof of insurance.

THEFT - A wallet was reported stolen Saturday from Walmart Supercenter, 7295 Glory Road.

ANIMAL COMPLAINT - Received a report at 4:02 p.m. Friday of a horse grazing at In Fisherman, 7819 Highland Scenic Road. The owner was contacted and the horse was retrieved.

CRASHES - No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle collision at 4:45 p.m. Sunday on the 400 block of Fifth Avenue Northeast.

No injuries were reported in a crash at 5:19 p.m. Saturday at South Fourth Street and College Drive.

PROPERTY DAMAGE - Dana Silgjord, 1000 block of Norwood Street, Sunday reported a tire slashed on her vehicle. A woman was cited for criminal damage to property.

ARREST - Arrested a 46-year-old man for fifth-degree assault at 9:48 a.m. Sunday on the 700 block of L Street.

BURGLARY - Curtis Klein, 700 block of South Eighth Street, Sunday reported his apartment broken into.

SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY - A man on the 400 block of South Ninth Street at 2:36 a.m. Sunday reported four people prowling around his residence. A 23-year-old woman was found inside the resident's vehicle and was cited for tampering with a motor vehicle.

Received a report at 8:53 p.m. Friday of three girls trick-or-treating on the 2000 block of Crestview Lane and being verbally inappropriate when they were not receiving candy.

PROPERTY DAMAGE - Lisa Trankle, 1000 block of 10th Avenue Northeast, Sunday reported decorations around her door were broken.

ARREST - Arrested a 28-year-old man on an outstanding warrant from Indiana at 1:58 a.m. Sunday after it was reported he was attempting to get into a house on the 1000 block of 13th Avenue Northeast.

INVESTIGATION - Officers at 1:46 a.m. Sunday responded to a report of a physical domestic fight at a residence on the 100 block of Second Avenue Northeast. Officers arrived both parties said they were arguing over bills but denied a physical assault. There were no signs of a struggle. The homeowner was advised to clean up her apartment due to questionable living conditions for her children.

A woman reported being hit in the head with a beer bottle at 1:34 a.m. Sunday on the 700 block of Laurel Street. The report and statements were forwarded to the county attorney's office for review of assault charges.

Officers were dispatched at 12:52 a.m. Sunday to a residence on Fourth Avenue Northeast for a pregnant woman not feeling well. While en route, officers learned the woman was elbowed in the stomach. The report was forwarded to the city attorney's office for review of criminal charges.

THEFT - Mabel Adolphson, 10000 block of Beaver Dam Road, Saturday reported jewelry stolen.

Miles Weske, 1000 block of J Street, Friday reported the theft of a laptop computer and a video recorder from his unlocked vehicle.

Grant Primmer, 1000 block of Campus Drive, Friday reported the theft of video games and movies.

It was reported Friday a laptop computer had been stolen from Central Lakes College, 501 W. College Drive.
