Kathleen Ann Bose, age 57, resident of Brainerd, Minn., died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005, at her home. Kathleen was born in Sioux City, Iowa, July 12, 1948, to Wayne and Mary (Enright) Davis, the oldest of nine children. She was a graduate of Heelan High School in Sioux City, Iowa. Kathleen attended Wayne State College in Nebraska for two years. She married Verdell Bose in Sioux City, Iowa, May 9, 1970.
She completed nursing school in 1980 and was employed by St. Luke's Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa, until 1985 when they moved to Buffalo, Minn. She was employed by North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, Minn., until 1989 where she specialized in oncology nursing. She left nursing to help with the family business, moving to Cold Spring, Minn., to expand their business. They moved to Brainerd in 1994 where she enjoyed her home as well as knitting, cross-stitching, fishing, crafts and her much loved dogs.
Survivors include her husband, Verdell; her children, Robert (Melissa) Bose, of Emerson, Neb., Lora (Gregory) Asfeld, of Sartell, Minn., Eric (Grace) Bose, of Ramsey, Minn.; grandchildren, Sheena, Tiffani, Morgan, Timothy and Rachel; her brothers and sisters, James, Ellen, Steven, Wayne, Mary, Michael, Colleen and Susan.
She was preceded in death by her parents and aunt, Kathleen Enright.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4, 2005, at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Baxter, Minn., with Pastor Erika Nilsen officiating. Burial will be in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery at Camp Ripley, Minn. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd and the hour before services Friday at the church.
